Sad and defeated...

Like so many posters here I have been listening to Djo since 2019, he has been in my top Spotify artists ever since then. I saw him live in 2022, on my birthday even, it was before Decide even came out and it was an awesome pretty small show. I got to meet Adam and he signed my Twenty Twenty vinyl that I brought all the way from home on a 4 hour drive. He said Joe was nervous for the show and he took my vinyl backstage to have Joe sign it saying "I think this will cheer him up". The show hadn't even started and it was already amazing. We watched the whole thing and I was quietly singing along the whole time (except for new songs). He even played End of Beginning and my fiancé loved it so much she would refer to it as "the Chicago song" until Decide came out later that year lol. After the show my fiancé said to me "I bet we won't be able to see him in a more personal live show like that ever again". Then ST4 came out and EoB eventually blew up and he got WAY bigger, I was happy he was getting more listeners and traction but I also worried about what my fiancé had said.

Anyways, I like Djo a lot. When I saw he was playing in Oakland (I live in NorCal) I was excited and my fiancé and I knew we would take the time off and drive down for it. The artist presale happened and it was a mess, I had 12k people in front of me in the queue, no surprise I didn't get tickets. I was started to get disappointed and worried but I had more shots. I tried again yesterday with the Spotify presale, luckily I had seen the code from someone in this group from the East coast cause Spotify emailed it to me at 9:10am 🙄 But I got in the queue right at 9am and I only had 200 something people in front of me! It seemed possible this time, then it got to 101... Then it stayed at 101... From 9:02 to 9:15 it was stuck at 101. Eventually at 9:16 it dropped to 96 in front of me, then it let me in... Only to bump me to the page saying when the general sale was. I refreshed and it showed me the map but didn't show anything. Any refresh after that just showed the countdown for general sale.

I had ONE LAST shot today but I was already feeling defeated. I literally woke up this morning from a nightmare about buying tickets... So when I went to try just a bit ago I joined right at 9 and I only had 200 something in front of me again. it quickly got to 1 and then at 9:01 it said I was first in queue and it was my turn to pick ticket. It stayed on that page not refreshing til 9:07 and then finally refreshed to a sold out page.

Djo is my favourite artist and I will continue to support and listen but honestly why did he choose the stops he did and why are so many of them at SMALL venues? Also I will never forgive him for most of them using Ticketmaster 😅😭

This rant isn't really meant to do anything or be that important, I just wanted to vent to my Djo family cause I'm sure lots of you understand and are in a similar spot ❤️ love you guys ❤️ (photo taken on 35mm from when I saw him in '22)

TLDR; Djo is my favourite musician I have been listening to since he started and I got shafted on ticket sales, I'm sad.
